Highcliffe Drive – traffic being counted?
Page 132 of the Alton Area Masterplan states the following with regards to the extending of the K3 bus service;
“The preferred approach is to extend the existing K3 service – this service currently runs from Esher via Kingston and Surbiton and terminates at Putney Vale. The proposal is to provide direct connections to key destinations to the north, but would also link Alton to Kingston Hospital and Kingston town centre to the south west”.
What residents said
From the survey we conducted earlier in the year the feedback we had from Roehampton residents was that they did not want the barrier removed. The below table highlights the results;
|Date||Yes to open Highcliffe||No to open Highcliffe||Other|
|Door to Door||1||60||1|
Please note that we have shared this result with the Roehampton Partnership twice, both at the July 8th and September 9th meetings and has been ignored.
Is the opening of the Highcliffe barrier edging closer?
A resident of the Alton has kindly shared with us photos regarding traffic being counted on Danebury Avenue near Highcliffe Drive.
