Roehampton University seeking planning permission for cabins near Parkstead House (part 12)

20160707 (1)

What’s the progress of the planning application 2016/1385?

From the picture above it highlights that the application has been withdrawn.

What was the reason for the withdrawal?

Apparently, the Transport Survey produced was insufficient for the Council and the recommendation was to refuse the planning application, instead, the application was withdrawn.

What does this about residents who engage on community issues?

A lot as the Transport Survey was requested when residents provided feedback to the Council regarding the planning application.

Well done all and hopefully such aggregated voices in future will work towards residents having more say in how the area they live is impacted by such applications. Also, residents need to be on the ball, for do not forget, Councillor Carpenter voted against the Roehampton Forum lodging an objection, when there was overwhelming support in favour of lodging an objection (refer to part 6 and read about this).

  1. Dermot. says :

Do not forget Jim McKinney voted with Carpenter, the forum should have made more effort to highlight their connections to the University, these being directly (as a member of the University) or indirectly (through a fellow Councillor working at the University). Obviously our Councillor Carpenter seems to put the Uni’s interest the residents?
