The following document might be worth a look, especially if you’re interested in the progress of the Alton Activity Centre.
Item 19: Alton Activity Centre (Paper No. 16-350)
“The Council has received a petition calling on the Council to re-open the Alton Activity Centre Ellisfield Drive Roehampton SW15, and its outside play area for at least six days per week.
The Council ceased to directly deliver after school services for children aged 5-11 years from the Centre at the end of March 2012. Since then it has been used as a venue from which to deliver targeted diversionary activity services for children aged 5–13 years.
Paper No. 15-437 presented to the Education and Children’s Services Overview and Scrutiny Committee on 19th November 2015 and the Executive on 30th November 2015 recommended that that option to re-let the targeted diversionary activity contract not be taken up. The service ceased to operate end April 2016”.
