There have been various mentions by residetnts of students returning to their abodes and making a lot of noise. Very recently on the putneysw15 website via the Forum entry ‘Noisy Roehampton Students’ this was raised by a resident of Queen Mary’s House.
The same week we became aware of noise which was being highlighted by a resident of Kimpton House on the Alton Estate.
Both occurred during the same week and both attempted to address their concerns via the University’s security team which did not seem to work.
Via the Kimpton House resident the following email from the Council provides information on what should happen. If this does occur please do let us know and this appears to be a well known issue though does not seem to be well publicised, which it might need to be in order to have this addressed.
In any event the details were from an email is highlighted below;

Subject: Re Noise from university students
I have been passed on your complaint regarding noise from students in Whitelands College. As the noise is coming from a private residential property you would need to ring the noise and environmental enforcement team on 020 8871 6127 when the noise is occurring. Officers will need to visit you in your home to assess the noise within your premises. Our operational hours are as follows:
Thursday: 09.00-17.00 and 19.00-02.00
Friday: 09.00-17.00 and 20.00-03.00
Sunday: 09.00-16.00 and 19.00-02.00
If you have any queries please call the noise team during office hours on 020 8871 6127 – dial option 1 for noise and then 2 for non council properties. I would be grateful if you could reply to this email with your address and contact telephone number so I can open up a new complaint for you.
