Medfield Street fountain – smashed pole still there?

Background

Early in 2018 a vehicle, presumably, ran into a pole which is located by the Medfield Street fountain – https://roeregeneration.wordpress.com/2018/03/02/oh-dear-hope-the-medfield-street-fountain-is-okay/ .

Though sadly it can be seen that this smashed pole is still there.

The update

It appears that, according to a Council email sighted dated 4 June 2019, that:

“I have consulted Dave Cochrane, Head of Engineering and he informs me that the work to remove the redundant remains of the column is still outstanding. This is Transport for London’s responsibility as it forms part of the TLRN and Mr Cochrane has kindly reminded them of this matter. I also copied in TfL’s Heritage adviser, Edmund Bird as it affects the setting of the grade II listed Drinking Fountain.

I remain hopeful that following this reminder TfL will take appropriate action”.

Summary

Between the lines that looks like it will be a while before this is resolved?
