Temple in Minstead Gardens – can more be done to look after it?

Sadly, it seems the new chicken coop fencing protecting the Temple has not lasted. Can more be done (by Roehampton University?) to protect this local item of interest?

Where possible photos regarding the Temple will updated into an album. Click on this sentence to see the photos.

Is it a listed Temple or is it a chicken coup?

The Temple in the grounds of Mount Clare, Minstead Gardens, was discussed at the Wandsworth (Conservation Area) Advisory Committee on 6 November 2017 and there was a reference to installing fencing around the Temple in the grounds of Roehampton University.

Now bear in mind that according to Historic England, there are four historic items of interest which are currently labelled Heritage at Risk inSW15, at least on its website (and three of these are in the Roehampton & Putney Heath ward).

Well, the fence is up, and one might ask whether the quality of the fencing is of any merit and whether the listed Temple now looks more like a chicken coop?

What a shame……
